Role Title: Resilience Coach JGW+

Location: Yale

Contract Type: Full time: Fixed term - 3rd July 2026

Salary: £31,132 - £33,912 (pro rata)

We currently have a vacancy for a Resilience Coach to work in our Jobs Growth Wales+ department.

The Resilience Coach will play a key role in enhancing learner engagement and development within Jobs Growth Wales+. This position involves supporting learners to settle into their learning and identifying and addressing any barriers which may hinder active participation. Responsibilities also encompass the seamless integration of all learners onto the JGW+ programme across the three available strands, which involves initial meetings with prospective learners and the completion of formal inductions.

They will manage a specific identified caseload of learners across Wrexham (including subcontractors) providing appropriate pastoral support and coaching; signposting them where appropriate to other organisations to ensure they do not become NEET.

Additionally, the Resilience Coach will contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all learners to ensure effective progress towards established learner targets and outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 in Advice & Guidance

  • Currently holds a Level 2 Digital Literacy or is willing to work towards

  • Experience of working with 16-18 year olds.

  • Experience of working with disaffected youth/ NEETs

  • Good knowledge of agencies involved in the support of young people in NE Wales

  • Able to work as part of a wider team, and be flexible and adaptable when required

  • Able to plan and manage own workload, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Able to demonstrate personal resilience in order to cope with a range of difficult situations

  • Empathy with deal with young people

  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations

Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
