Mechanical Engineer (Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance support, including installation, planned preventive, and reactive maintenance, for site services and equipment.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, and mechanical systems, including pump seals, bearings, and alignment.
• Participate in the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
• Prioritise work to meet business needs effectively.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring tasks are performed to required standards.
• Provide specialist technical support related to building plant and equipment.
• Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline such as mechanical/plumbing/HVAC).
• Experience in building services & mechanical servicing/maintenance, inc. pump seals, bearings, & alignment.
• Ability to write reports and job sheets either manually or electronically.
• Competence in other areas of building services (BMS, Electrical).
• Possession of a full clean driving license.
