About the Opportunity:

Are you an ambitious sales professional looking for the opportunity to be part of a brand-new sales team and make a real impact?

We're working with an established and growing business within the education and insurance sector that is building a new team of sales professionals to support its continued growth across West Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage, contribute to the success of a new team and play a key role in driving new business and maximising sales opportunities.

You'll be working with schools, colleges and educational organisations, helping them understand their requirements and identify suitable insurance and staff absence management solutions.

From building relationships and negotiating terms to converting opportunities and closing deals, you'll have the chance to take ownership of the sales process, develop customer relationships and directly influence your earning potential through uncapped commission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their requirements and identify suitable solutions.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial contact through to negotiation and conversion.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers, including school business managers, bursars, HR professionals and senior leadership teams.
• Promote insurance and staff absence management solutions, communicating their value and benefits.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and proposals to achieve positive commercial outcomes.
• Proactively follow up on quotations, proposals and outstanding opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
• Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and generate further revenue.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity and pipeline progress.
• Work towards agreed sales targets, KPIs and commercial objectives.
• Contribute to the development and success of the new sales team.

About You:

We're looking for confident, commercially minded individuals who enjoy building relationships, negotiating solutions and closing deals.

You'll Ideally Have:

• Experience in sales, sales negotiation, business development, account management or another customer-facing commercial role.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• The ability to identify customer needs, overcome objections and convert opportunities into sales.
• A confident telephone manner and a proactive approach to generating and following up leads.
• A target-driven mindset with a desire to achieve results and maximise earning potential.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
• A professional, consultative approach and the ambition to contribute to a growing team.
