Philanthropy Consultant

Salary: £300 - £400 per day
Contract: Interim contract, circa 3 months
Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Philanthropy Consultant working with a well-respected national health charity. This organisation is entering an exciting period of development and is looking for an experienced philanthropy professional to provide hands-on support and strengthen major donor activity during a busy period.
As part of this interim role, you will focus on the day-to-day delivery of the philanthropy programme, supporting the cultivation, stewardship and management of major donor relationships. You will work closely with colleagues across fundraising and other internal teams to progress donor opportunities, develop compelling supporter communications and funding proposals, maintain a healthy prospect pipeline, support stewardship activities and help deliver donor engagement events. While this role will contribute to wider fundraising objectives, the emphasis will be on practical delivery, relationship management and ensuring fundraising activity continues to perform effectively throughout the contract period.
To be successful as the Philanthropy Consultant, you will need:

• Proven experience managing and developing relationships with major donors or high-net-worth individuals within the charity sector.
• Experience securing significant philanthropic gifts and supporting donor cultivation, stewardship and pipeline development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and develop compelling donor-facing materials.
