About the Role

Based at our Actuation Systems headquarters in Wolverhampton, you'll gain hands-on experience within our Project Management community, working on projects that support both civil and military aerospace programmes.

Over three years, you'll develop a strong understanding of project and programme management, gaining exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through to delivery and continuous improvement. You'll work on business-critical projects, helping to balance customer requirements, timescales, budgets and risk, while developing the skills needed for a successful career in project management.

You'll work closely with engineers, operations teams and customers, supported by experienced colleagues, dedicated mentoring and regular development reviews. Throughout the programme, you'll build the knowledge, confidence and leadership capabilities required to progress within Safran's global project management community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, scheduling and delivery of projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve customer and business objectives.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports and stakeholder updates.
  • Monitor project budgets, timescales and risks, supporting successful delivery.
  • Analyse project performance data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gain exposure to a range of aerospace projects, technologies and customers.
  • Develop your project management knowledge, skills and professional network.
  • Take ownership of your development and career progression.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Achieved, or be on track to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude and genuine interest in project management and aerospace.

Desirable Criteria

  • Leadership experience through work, university, sport, volunteering or extracurricular activities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in innovation, change management or continuous improvement.

Stage 4 - Final Decision
