  • Duration: Approximately 2 months initially (with potential extension)

  • Daily Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role

The school requires a Teaching Assistant to provide cover while a valued member of staff is away for surgery. This role is expected to last for approximately two months initially, although there may be an opportunity for the placement to continue beyond this period.

You will:

  • Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
  • Provide behavioural and emotional support where required
  • Create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong SEND experience
  • Confidence supporting children with behavioural needs
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable
