Location: Chartham, Canterbury, Kent

Hourly Rate: 14.00 - 15.90 an hour
Working Pattern: Full Time (Day & Night Shifts Available) Permanent Opportunity

Day shifts start from 07:00 till 19:00 - 12-hour shift 1h break time 2x15min 1x 30mins

Night shifts start from - 17:00 till 04:00 - 12-hour shift 1h break time 2x15min 1x 30mins

Our client, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Line Leader to join their dedicated team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about ensuring efficiency and quality in the packing process.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Line Leader will play a crucial role in running the line smoothly and efficiently while adhering to compliance and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all startup checks for the line to ensure readiness.
• Communicate effectively with the ODS, Chiller, and Machine Operators regarding job priorities and updates.
• Prepare and set up the packing line efficiently.
• Collect packaging and labels from the store, ensuring quality control checks are conducted before starting.
• Verify that the product in the wet area matches the specified quality.
• Train packers and monitor hygiene standards on the line while providing necessary instructions.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all packaging is returned to the packaging department and the line is cleaned at the end of each job.
• Update job status on the minus sheet as per SOP and report to the Packhouse Manager upon completion of orders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Timely and accurate completion of all orders.
• Legibility and thoroughness of all paperwork.
• Compliance with hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Generation of various reports including Daily Profit and Loss, Downtime, and Rejection Reports.

Personal Qualities:

• Enthusiastic, self-confident, and self-motivated.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
• Flexibility in handling various tasks.

Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:

• Good communication skills.
• Proficient level of English.
• Strong understanding of Maths.

Desirable:

• • Previous experience in a similar role.
