Development Technician

Location: Hassocks / Burgess Hill Area
Salary: 30,000 - 37,500 + Bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Development Technician to join a growing and innovative business based in the Hassocks/Burgess Hill area. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, product development, testing, and continuous improvement within a dynamic environment.

Working closely with engineering, production, and project teams, you will play a key role in supporting the development, testing, and implementation of new products and processes.

• Assist with the development and testing of new products and prototypes.
• Conduct technical trials, evaluations, and fault-finding activities.
• Support the transition of products from development through to production.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and test records.
• Analyse data and provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and regulatory standards.

• Previous experience in a technical, engineering, development, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technical systems.
• Relevant engineering, technical, or scientific qualification desirable but not essential.
