Are you an experienced Finance Administrator looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of key processes while working as part of a busy and collaborative team?
I am recruiting on behalf of a well established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre that is looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join its team.
This is a predominantly finance focused position covering purchase ledger, sales invoicing, purchase orders, subcontractor accounts and financial administration, alongside a smaller element of general business administration.

The Role
This is a stand a lone role in the Glasgow office working collaboratively with the Glasow team and closely with the wider commercial and Finance teams, you will take responsibility for a range of day to day finance processes, ensuring information is accurate, deadlines are met and queries are resolved efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Create, process and manage purchase orders from initial request through to completion
Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure records are accurate and up to date
Review incoming supplier and subcontractor invoices, checking information against relevant purchase orders and records
Support the processing and approval of invoices, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Maintain accurate subcontractor financial records and supporting documentation
Prepare and issue divisional sales invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
Respond to invoice queries and liaise with internal teams and external contacts to resolve issues
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure supporting documentation is correctly recorded
Monitor finance information and follow up on outstanding actions where required
Liaise closely with divisional teams to ensure Finance receives accurate and timely information
Assist with the preparation and formatting of fee proposals, bids and other commercial documentation
Provide general business and office administration support, including meeting coordination, CRM updates, office supplies and liaison with external contractors
About You
We are looking for an experienced administrator who has strong finance exposure and is confident managing a busy and varied workload.
Ideally, you will have:
At least five years of relevant experience
Experience working with purchase orders, invoices and financial records
Previous experience supporting a commercial Finance team would be advantageous
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
The ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast paced environment
Confidence investigating and resolving invoice and finance related queries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
A proactive approach with strong planning and problem solving skills
The ability to handle confidential information appropriately
