Role: Employment Paralegal

As an Employment Paralegal/Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Employment Department and delivering excellent legal services to clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reporting directly to the Department Director.
• Assisting with a broad range of Employment Law matters, including: Discrimination claims, Unfair dismissal, Redundancy, TUPE matters, Settlement agreement negotiations, Mediation and dispute resolution, Breach of contract claims, Conduct-related employment issues
• Attending client meetings, taking instructions and preparing cases.
• Undertaking advocacy where appropriate.
• Managing correspondence and client communications effectively.
• Maintaining accurate time recording and costing procedures.
• Implementing recommendations arising from monthly file reviews promptly and efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with file management procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrating excellent client care through a professional, proactive and empathetic approach.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A strong academic background, including a Law degree.
• Experience working as an Employment Paralegal, Employment Advisor or in a similar Employment Law role.
• Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of Employment Law.
• Experience handling a broad range of employment matters and tribunal-related work.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while recognising when to seek guidance.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to promote the firm's services where appropriate.
• Strong client care and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, self-motivated and team-oriented approach.
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
