Our client Oxfordshire county council is looking for an Assistant Team Manager to join their Care leaver service.
Job Summary
The Assistant Team Manager provides day-to-day operational leadership, supervision, and practice oversight within the social care team, ensuring that high-quality, timely assessments and interventions are delivered to children, young people, and families. Working closely with the Team Manager, the post holder supports the safe allocation and progression of referrals across Family Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, Children We Care For, and Care Leavers pathways.
The role contributes to performance management, quality assurance, and continuous practice improvement, promoting strong multi-agency working and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities. Through effective supervision, decision-making, and leadership, the Assistant Team Manager helps maintain high standards of safeguarding practice and ensures that children's needs, safety, and voices remain central to all case planning and service delivery.
