About the Roles

We're recruiting Sales Executives to join our outbound sales team, supporting either Customer Acquisition or Customer Retention. While both roles sit within the same high-performing sales function and share common skills, the day-to-day focus differs as outlined below.

Sales Executive - Customer Acquisition

In this role, you'll focus on winning new business and growing our customer base within the UK non-household water market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Making high-quality outbound sales calls to businesses yet to consolidate their estates with Business Stream
  • Identifying and engaging small to medium-sized businesses that align with our target customer profiles
  • Converting prospects into new customers and securing full portfolio consolidation
  • Participating in proactive and innovative acquisition campaigns, including testing new propositions
  • Reconnecting with existing Business Stream customers to introduce additional services and solutions
  • Capturing customer insight to help shape future campaigns and improve our propositions

This role is ideal if you're motivated by new business activity, targets, and the thrill of converting prospects into long-term customers.

Sales Executive - Customer Retention

In this role, you'll focus on protecting and strengthening existing customer relationships, ensuring customers see long-term value in staying with Business Stream.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting customer retention through proactive "save" campaigns and contract renewals
  • Managing internal contract referrals aligned to agreed customer segmentation
  • Proactively engaging customers who are at risk of leaving and addressing their concerns
  • Managing customer expectations and increasing resolution and retention rates
  • Ensuring customers fully understand and benefit from the services and solutions available to them
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service while taking ownership and accountability for outcomes
