The Team
The Senior Legal Counsel will support the Associate General Counsel, Corporate & Global Projects on global cross-functional corporate projects. Partnering with project team members on legal matters, providing advice and council to ensure all project timelines are met whilst managing and mitigating legal risk.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal due diligence on existing contracts and identify legal risks relevant to Projects.
Drafting, reviewing and managing contracts, corporate documents, corporate approvals and documents relevant to support legal aspects of Projects.
Managing local and corporate counsel, proactive management of legal workstreams to ensure on-time delivery of Project objectives and milestones.
Ongoing and effective reporting of current status of workstreams.
Collaboration with a wider Project team.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
What you’ll bring
Law or other degree and qualification as lawyer in England & Wales or other Commonwealth jurisdiction
Proven post-qualified experience
Previous experience working on corporate projects and corporate structures would be ideal
Background experience working in a law firm would be preferred
Experience in drafting legal documentation
Pragmatic and solutions-focused
Confident and credible, demonstrating a proven track record of commitment and achievement
Self-motivated and results-oriented, demonstrating initiative in process optimization, and operational efficiency, with a strong sense of accountability
Analytical, organizational and project management skills to effectively manage tasks and projects
Previous Pharmaceutical industry experience may be advantageous but not essential
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to facilitate effective communication
