Job Title: Responsible Individual (Children's Services)
Salary: 70,000 + 10% Performance Bonus
Location: Staffordshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee and support our children's residential services. This is a key leadership role, ensuring services are fully compliant, high-performing, and delivering outstanding care to young people.
You will work closely with Registered Managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to maintain and improve service quality in line with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the Ofsted-registered Responsible Individual, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
Provide strategic oversight and leadership across multiple residential homes
Support, mentor, and develop Registered Managers to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding ratings
Monitor service performance, quality, and safeguarding practices
Lead on inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes
Ensure a strong safeguarding culture is embedded across all services
Work collaboratively with external professionals, local authorities, and regulatory bodies
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

Requirements
Previous experience as a Responsible Individual, Registered Manager, or Senior Leader within children's residential care
Strong track record working within Good or Outstanding Ofsted-rated services
Experience supporting children with EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) and/or LD (Learning Disabilities)
In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
Proven leadership and people management skills
Deputies or Registered Managers ready to step up will also be considered

Working Pattern
173 hours per month (Monday-Friday)
Participation in an on-call rota (approximately once every 2 weeks)
