Emergency Shift Manager (ESM)

This role will be employed by G4S but will hold duty responsibility for Sizewell C (SZC) , therefore be an integral part of the client team. The on duty SZC Emergency Shift Manager (ESM) assumes and retains overall command for the operation or incident. They have responsibility and authority for the site tactical procedures based from the Emergency Control Centre (EmCC). The role will be one of four/five ESM's who will hold equivalent authority when on duty and hold a nominated specialism related to the phase of construction, this will be detailed by the Licence Condition (LC) 11 - On-site Emergency Arrangements Lead. This LC will form the basis of this role. The EmCC will be fed information from Operational Management via the Security Control Room (SCR) including Incident Controllers, Duty Managers, and specialist response.
