Pupil Referral Unit Youth Worker Salford Prospero teaching are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Salford, the school deals with students with additional needs and mental health issues It is a classroom based role, providing mentoring and pastoral support to the students, The pupils are age 11-16 years old KS3/4 secondary all with EHCP plans and additional needs. The pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect or chaotic home life or all of these things. Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students. You must have a strong TA or Tutoring background with students from PRUs or SEMH schools, and you also need to drive and have access to your own car for this role.
