We are seeking an experienced UAT / Test Manager to guide and manage System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a programme of works within the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires strong SAP testing experience, combined with the ability to coordinate business users, manage test execution, and provide clear governance and reporting throughout the testing lifecycle.

This role will suit a hands on test manager with proven experience delivering structured UAT in complex SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Governance

  • Lead the planning and delivery of SIT and UAT activities.
  • Define the scope of testing and manage the creation of a detailed test plan and schedule.
  • Establish entry and exit criteria for all test phases.
  • Ensure testing aligns with Oil & Gas operational and business requirements.

Test Execution Management

  • Manage and coordinate the day to day execution of testing.
  • Facilitate daily stand ups during test execution.
  • Track progress against plan and provide regular status reporting.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues impacting testing delivery.

Business & User Coordination

  • Manage all user logistics, including:
  • User access to SAP environments
  • User readiness for testing
  • Test scheduling and coordination
  • Act as the main interface between business users and the project team during UAT.

Defect Management

  • Own the defect management process, including logging, triage, prioritisation, and tracking.
  • Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams to drive defect resolution.
  • Provide clear reporting on defect status and trends.
  • Reporting & Test Closure
  • Produce a formal test exit report, covering:
  • Test execution summary
  • Defect status and residual risk
  • Readiness assessment and recommendations for go live

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience as a UAT Lead / Test Lead.
  • Hands on experience testing SAP solutions (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
  • Strong experience planning and managing UAT and SIT.
  • Experience coordinating large numbers of business users.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Oil & Gas or similarly complex, regulated environments.

Desirable

  • SAP S/4HANA programme experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP test management tools and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience working with third party system integrators.
