We are seeking a talented and ambitious Design Engineering Manager to join our client, based near Bournemouth.

The company have a global customer base and do all design and manufacturing on site, producing equipment for a few different sectors including Defence. Aside from the usual man management aspect, you will also manage and oversee the design process, so it is important you come from a Design background.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Engineering team - 6 direct reports.
• Oversee appraisals and training requirements for your team.
• Overseeing the design, research and development of new products.
• Managing workload and setting priorities for the department.
• Ensuring accurate drawings are produced in line with expected timelines.
• Responsible for timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
• Completion and maintenance of Technical Files and User Instructions

What we are looking for:

• BEng in Mechanical or Structural engineering.
• Proven experience within a managerial position.
• Experienced with Solidworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience within the lifting sector would be an advantage.
• Adept at working with a global customer base.
