Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a specialist setting?

A Secondary SEND provision in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support children aged 11-16 with Autism and communication needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a small, supportive environment, supporting a class of approximately pupils.

Role:

You will play a key role in supporting pupils learning and development by:

  • Supporting the delivery of structured, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Providing targeted 1:1 support and small group interventions
  • Supporting children s academic, social and emotional development
  • Creating a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to help pupils make meaningful progress

What we are looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with Autism and communication needs (Secondary school or specialist setting preferred)
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliability, consistency and commitment
