
Network Engineer / ICT Network Administrator
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer / ICT Network Administrator to join our team at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, to manage and optimise secure network infrastructure, cybersecurity, routing and switching within a large public sector organisation, ensuring resilience, performance and business continuity.

SALARY: £39,862 to £41,771 per annum + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Service Headquarters, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire (SA31)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week with flexible hours in line with the Service’s flexi-time scheme
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Network Engineer / ICT Network Administrator to join the ICT department within a large public sector organisation.
Working within the Business Systems team, the Network Engineer / ICT Network Administrator will ensure the network infrastructure is secure, efficient and fit for purpose, supporting routing, switching, firewalls, VLAN architecture, wireless networks and cybersecurity best practice.
As a Network Engineer / ICT Network Administrator you will combine hands-on technical engineering with network management and critical incident response, helping to deliver business continuity, hardware redundancy and secure remote access across multiple sites.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects, network optimisation and digital resilience within a forward-thinking and community-focused environment.
