A warm and well-resourced SEN school in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to work with pupils on the autism spectrum, including students with communication difficulties and sensory needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive specialist setting.
Key Information:
- Role: ASD Support Assistant
- Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
- Pay: 89- 100 per day
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Age Range: 5-18 years
Your Role as an ASD Support Assistant:
- Support pupils with Autism on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing
- Use visual supports, structured routines, and personalised strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
- Work collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, and SEN professionals
This ASD Support role is ideal for graduates or aspiring Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, or SEN professionals, offering excellent hands-on experience in a specialist autism provision.
