Year 3 Teaching Assistant opportunity in Liverpool

Hays are one of the largest education agencies in the Liverpool region. We work exclusively with over 65% schools in the area. Currently are working in partnership with schools in the L19 area who are recruiting for a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for September cover.

Your new role
A school in the South Liverpool area requires a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. Duties will include:
Supporting a pupil in Year 3 with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis
The majority of your time will be spent working on a one-to-one basis
Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum
Work closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress

What you'll need to succeed
Have at least six months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range
Excellent communication skills
Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum
Managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role
