Flame Cutter/Profiler

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Flame Cutter/Profiler in Aston. You will be required to operate flame cutting and profiling equipment to cut steel plates and profiles to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety procedures.

Hours of work: 4pm-4am Monday to Wednesday/ 4pm-12amThursday

Pay rate: 15- 16 per hour - Plus 80 per week night shift allowance averaging to 38,480K

Contract: Permanent

• Operate flame cutting machines and profiling equipment to cut steel plates according to drawings and work orders.
• Interpret technical drawings and cutting lists accurately.
• Set up and calibrate machinery for optimal performance.
• Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Record production data and report any issues or defects promptly.

• Previous experience operating flame cutting or profiling machines in a steel or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of steel grades and material handling.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for machine setup and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.

• Experience with CNC flame cutting machines.
• Forklift or overhead crane license.
• Knowledge of plasma cutting processes.
