SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD/ADHD) - Nuneaton, CV10

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated, calm and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD, helping them remain engaged, regulated and confident throughout the school day. This is a long-term position with a strong chance of becoming permanent.

Weekly Pay: 460- 500
Start Date: 05 January 2026
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and ADHD in Year 5

  • Use consistent behaviour strategies and calm de-escalation techniques

  • Follow EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews

  • Support emotional regulation, focus and engagement during lessons

  • Implement SEN interventions and adapt learning tasks where needed

  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff

  • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour



Who We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)

  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs

  • Confident using structured routines, regulation strategies and behaviour plans

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach

  • Understanding of KS2 learning and SEN support strategies

  • Patient, resilient and consistent when supporting additional needs
