About the Role

Tempest Resourcing is looking for passionate, reliable, and caring individuals to join our expanding team of SEN Support Staff.
We partner with specialist schools, mainstream provisions, SEN units, and alternative settings that support children with:

  • Complex Needs
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism (ASD)
  • Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

Whether you're new to education, have care/support experience, or are an experienced SEN professional, we want to hear from you.

These roles are perfect for both male and female candidates who are committed to making a real difference in young people's lives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support
  • Assisting with communication, sensory activities, and structured routines
  • Supporting pupils with personal care (where required)
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and wider SEN teams
  • Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
  • Using creative approaches (play, music, movement, visuals) to support learning

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Entry-Level / No Experience? No Problem!

We welcome individuals from backgrounds such as:
Care, youth work, sports coaching, psychology students, social care, nursery, or ANY role where you've worked with people.
Full training, guidance, and ongoing support provided.

Experienced SEN Staff

If you've supported children with ASD, SLD, PMLD, or complex medical/behavioural needs, we offer advanced roles with excellent progression opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
