We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our vibrant team in Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs, within a nurturing environment that values inclusion, collaboration, and continuous professional development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and positive outcomes for all pupils.
  • Maintain and develop the school's SEND policy and practice in line with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on SEND matters.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or currently working towards it).
  • Proven experience as a SENCO in a primary school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every child.

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN allowance (depending on experience)
