Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a growing Yorkshire business as they continue to invest in their finance and commercial functions.

Working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance, this role will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, partnering with stakeholders and helping the business understand the story behind the numbers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their commercial finance experience within a fast-paced and evolving organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse commercial and operational data to provide meaningful business insights
• Produce regular reporting, KPI analysis and performance dashboards
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to explain financial performance and trends
• Assist with profitability and margin analysis
• Support month-end close activities and management accounting processes
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analysis and decision-making
• Support ad hoc finance and commercial projects

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Be studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Have experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Finance Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant role
• Possess strong Excel and analytical skills
• Be confident communicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Enjoy working with data and turning information into actionable insights
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach
