Interim Tax Assistant - Outside IR35
Location: Berkshire (preferred) or London - Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Day Rate: £350-£375 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Butler Rose is currently supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of an experienced Interim Tax Assistant for an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on tax professional with strong UK and European VAT experience to join an established finance function, working closely with the existing Tax Associate and reporting to the Tax Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the preparation and reconciliation of UK and EU VAT returns.
Ensuring VAT reporting is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
Supporting day-to-day tax accounting activities and maintaining accurate financial records.
Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a Tax Assistant, Tax Analyst or Tax Accountant position.
Strong practical experience with UK and EU VAT returns and reconciliations.
Proven experience performing balance sheet reconciliations.
Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
Available to start at short notice.
Contract Details:
£350-£375 per day - Outside IR35
Initial 6-month contract
Hybrid working - 3 days per week in Berkshire or London
