We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Highways Supervisor to join an upcoming maintenance contract across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and North Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor looking for an ongoing role within highways maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance teams, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring that maintenance works are completed safely and efficiently.

Duties will include overseeing general highways maintenance operations, coordinating operatives, monitoring work progress, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed and responding to maintenance requirements across the contract area.

IMPORTANT: All applicants must hold a valid Highways Passport and Safety Critical Medical. Supervisors must also hold either SMSTS or a relevant Gold Card.

• Valid Highways Passport - essential

• Valid Safety Critical Medical - essential

• SMSTS or relevant Gold Card - essential

• Previous experience working as a Supervisor within highways, construction or maintenance

• Experience supervising operatives and coordinating site activities

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures

• Ability to organise workloads and manage teams effectively

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Ability to travel across the Area 14 contract region

• Right to work in the UK
