Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Trowbridge, Wiltshire

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to students.

• Support students with SEND and additional learning needs.

• Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs.

• Assist with literacy, numeracy and study skills.

• Deliver targeted interventions and monitor student progress.

• Promote positive behaviour, confidence, independence and engagement.

• Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and wider SEND team.

• Maintain accurate student records and uphold safeguarding procedures.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience supporting young people in an educational setting (desirable).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students.

• Understanding of inclusion, equality and diversity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong safeguarding awareness and professionalism.

• Work under the direction of the SENDCo and teaching staff.

• Support students' academic, social and emotional development.

• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
