Prospectus is recruiting for a leading animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats and the people in their communities. Through preventative and community-based services, this charity supports animals in need while promoting responsible pet ownership and long-term change. The charity is entering its next phase - with a new strategy and a newly formed team bringing together income generation, communications, partnerships and volunteer activation. The Income, Audiences & Partnerships team has been designed to strengthen and diversify Mayhew's income base, build longer-term funding relationships and create a more sustainable financial platform for the charity's future. Prospectus is supporting the charity to appoint a new Trusts & Foundations Senior Specialist to join this growing team.
Trusts & Foundations Senior Specialist
Permanent, full-time/part time (depending on experience)
London NW10 / hybrid (with role-specific on-site and external working as required)
£38,000 per annum
This role will lead the growth of trusts and foundations income, building and managing a strong and qualified pipeline of prospects and funders, securing larger and longer-term funding, and improving the sustainability and predictability of this income stream through high-quality applications, stewardship, reporting and renewal activity.
Working closely with the High Value Fundraising Manager and colleagues across services, finance and impact, you'll develop compelling new propositions and cases for support to secure multi-year and strategic funding, while maintaining robust pipeline intelligence and contributing to accurate income forecasting and longer-term financial planning.
The charity has an established fundraising base, alongside significant untapped potential to grow the scale, diversity and long-term value of its institutional funding. The postholder will play a central role in delivering the ambitious three-year income growth plans for trusts and foundations, developing new funder relationships while strengthening and growing the value of existing partnerships.
The selected candidate will bring strong knowledge and experience of trusts and foundations fundraising, including writing successful applications and managing a busy pipeline of deadlines, reports and renewals. You'll be confident translating complex plans, budgets and impact evidence into clear, compelling propositions, and comfortable building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career with considerable ownership of the trusts and foundations area.
