From electrical faults and equipment breakdowns to keeping essential building services in working order, this is a hands-on mobile position for an electrician who enjoys solving problems and working across different sites.
You'll cover a regional portfolio of commercial premises, carrying out scheduled servicing, responding to maintenance issues and dealing with general repairs. Electrical work will be your main focus, but you'll also get involved with mechanical equipment and other building services when needed.
No two maintenance electrician jobs are necessarily the same. One day could involve tracing an electrical fault; another might see you working on catering equipment, investigating a pump issue or sorting out a general building maintenance problem.
The work will involve:
You'll need to be a qualified maintenance electrician with the practical ability to work independently across a range of commercial environments.
Essential:
You'll also need to be comfortable undertaking basic mechanical and general building maintenance, with the ability to work at height when required.
City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection and experience completing electrical certification would be beneficial, but aren't essential.
If you're an electrician who can take a practical approach to maintenance, diagnose problems and keep commercial sites running, this permanent position offers a company van, paid travel, overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.
