SALARY: £18 – £23 per Hour + Bonus

LOCATION: Telford, Shropshire, West Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 7:00am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

A great opportunity is available for a skilled MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a busy accident repair environment where quality workmanship and teamwork are valued.

The MET Technician / Strip Fitter will dismantle, repair and rebuild accident-damaged vehicles, contributing to high-quality repairs and strong customer service.

With full training, management support and progression opportunities, the MET Technician / Strip Fitter can continue developing within a supportive workshop team.

DUTIES

Your duties as the MET Technician / Strip Fitter include:

·       Damage Assessment and Repair Decisions: Assess damage and decide whether panels should be repaired or replaced

·       Damaged Panel Removal: Remove damaged panels

·       Chassis and Panel Repairs: Repair damaged chassis and panels

·       Vehicle Dismantling and Stripping: Dismantle and strip vehicles down

·       Vehicle Reassembly and Rebuilding: Reassemble and rebuild vehicles after repairs are complete

·       Vehicle Welding: Carry out plastic, MIG and SPOT welding

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

·       Previous experience in a MET strip/refit technician environment

·       Self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised

·       Supportive and cooperative team approach

·       Able to maintain quality under pressure
