At Magic Me, we bring generations together through extraordinary creative projects that dismantle ageism, build lasting community connections, and reduce loneliness across London. 92% of our participants report increased confidence to try new things, and 93% feel more connected to their community.
As we prepare to launch our bold Strategy, we are seeking up to 3 new Trustees to join our dedicated, friendly, and invested Board to help us tackle ageism and connect the generations. Following a recent Board skills audit, we are looking for individuals who can bring specialist skills in one of three key areas:
Why this opportunity stands out:
First time considering a board role? You are very welcome here!
If you think you can help us with one of these specialisms then chances are high you'll be a good fit for the role. If you bring specialist skills in one of our focus areas and a passion for our mission, we want to hear from you. We provide:
(Candidates who do bring prior board governance experience are also very welcome!)
Who we're looking for:
We particularly encourage applications from candidates from racially minoritised backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, older adults, and disabled candidates. Connections to Tower Hamlets are welcome, though not essential.
How to apply:
We are using CharityJob's anonymised recruitment platform to ensure a fair, unbiased process. Click the apply now button to get started!
Informal conversations: For a confidential discussion about the role, please contact our Executive Director & Co-CEO Ben Butcher (see job pack for details).
