Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary

Aspire People are recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across primary school settings.
This role is specifically aimed at candidates who hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or relevant SEND qualification and have practical experience working with children in a UK school environment.
Requirements:
MUST hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or relevant SEND qualification
MUST have previous UK school-based experience
Experience supporting pupils with SEND is essential
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
Confident working with children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Patient, calm and nurturing approach
Reliable and professional
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small-group SEND support
Supporting pupils to access classroom learning
Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions
Supporting pupils with communication, learning and behavioural needs
Encouraging independence and confidence
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
The Ideal Candidate:
Level 2 qualified
Recent UK school experience
Previous SEND experience within a primary setting
Good behaviour management and communication skills
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Flexible and adaptable to individual pupil needs
