This rewarding position involves providing 1:1 and small-group assistance to pupils with Autism (ASC), speech and language needs, and sensory processing differences. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant hands-on experience. Core Responsibilities

In your role as an SEN TA, you will guide children through tailored learning plans:

  • Tailored Learning Support: Adapt daily tasks using visual timetables and sensory resources to suit individual needs in Christleton and the wider areas.
  • Inclusion & Guidance: Assist pupils during structured classroom activities and outdoor play to encourage social interaction.
  • Progress Tracking: Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to monitor milestones gained through structured education and training.
  • Nurturing Environment: Build warm, positive relationships that promote pupil confidence across school settings in Christleton and the wider area.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as an SEN TA or a strong background in care, support, or youth work settings.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification is preferred, alongside a proactive approach to ongoing education and training.
  • Ability to commute to Christleton, Waverton or neighbouring via public or personal transport
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one via Academics).
