Payroll Officer

Job Description

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Payroll Officer in Stirling on a part-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking a flexible part-time role within a supportive and established team.

You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation, while acting as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
Managing starters, leavers and contractual changes
Checking payroll data and resolving discrepancies
Processing statutory payments, deductions and pension contributions
Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records
Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements
Ensuring payroll activities comply with legislation and internal procedures
Providing general payroll administration and support to the wider team

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
Previous payroll experience, ideally processing weekly and monthly payrolls
Demonstrable understanding of HMRC requirements, statutory deductions and pension administration
Experience carrying out payroll reconciliations and maintaining controls
Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage payroll queries professionally
Comfortable using payroll and HR systems
Payroll qualification or equivalent payroll experience beneficial
