Job Title: HGV Driver
Location: Oldbury, Sandwell
Contract Type: Temporary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Driver to join their dynamic team in Oldbury. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily refuse and recycling collections, demonstrating proficiency with all machinery aspects of the role.
- Assist with refuse loading when needed, ensuring that the team completes the route within the service level agreement.
- Carry out all duties in a professional manner, employing safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate for items left for removal.
- Utilise in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed, ensuring real-time completion of relevant paperwork.
- Perform daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles before and after use to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all machinery and vehicles, contributing to a safe and tidy working environment.
- Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other road users.
Working Hours:
- Option 1: 5:45 AM to 1:45 PM
- Option 2: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Driver CPC certification.
- A willingness to assist refuse loaders during rounds to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
- A clean driver's licence is desirable but not mandatory.
