The Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a key role in developing a stimulating, inclusive and pupil-centred learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to facilitate each pupil's individual needs and create meaningful learning opportunities that develop communication, independence and personal development.

The successful EYFS Teacher will:

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons tailored to pupils with ASD
• Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment
• Develop individual's communication, social development and independence skills
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and celebrate achievement
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning profiles
• Develop strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals
• Promote positive behaviour through effective strategies
• Contribute to building the ethos and curriculum of a new SEN school

About You

We are looking for an EYFS Teacher who is passionate about early years education and empassioned about supporting young learners with special educational needs.

You will ideally have:

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification
• EYFS teaching experience
• A genuine passion to empower young learners with ASD and additional needs
• Knowledge of early years development and early learning principles
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated learning experiences
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Desirable:

• Experience working within a specialist SEN environment
• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Knowledege of sensory needs and communication approaches
• Experience using visual resources, structured teaching or alternative communication methods
• Experience working collaboratively with therapists and external professionals
