We're excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a SHEQ Assistant to join the busy team in Halesowen.
About the SHEQ Assistant role:
As our SHEQ Assistant, you will be supporting, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of the company's SHEQ policy. In this role, you will help to ensure that the business meets legislation requirements, attending and reporting at meetings, and conducting site audits. You will become a key part of the team, joining an established company in Halesowen and across the UK.
Main duties and responsibilities in this role include:
- Carry out and review risk assessments and method statements
- Review significant aspects and impacts across the business
- Conduct internal audits in line with the SHEQ Management system
- Provide detailed audit reports with findings; identify non-conformities, opportunities for improvement and provide corrective action measures
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety guidelines, as well as legal obligations
- Follow-up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented where necessary and ensure that requirements are complied with
- Assist in developing all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the SHEQ Management System to be compliant with ISO & 50001 standards
- Assist in developing and carrying out internal staff training
What we're looking for in our SHEQ Assistant:
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and preferably a qualification in Environmental or Quality, or previous work experience within a SHEQ role
Knowledge of carbon reduction plans
Knowledge of the methodologies of quality assurance and standards
