Location; Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire
We are working with an established, well-invested manufacturing business operating within the heavy industrial manufacturing sector, with foundry and machining operations at its core. The site runs a safety-critical environment where Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles genuinely shape day-to-day culture, and the business holds ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accreditation, with a strong audit track record.
This is a great opportunity for an EHS Advisor who is looking for a role with real autonomy, variety and the chance to shape safety culture across two sites, working within a business that genuinely invests in its people and its EHS function.
You'll take ownership of day-to-day EHS activity across the main site and a smaller satellite facility, reporting into the UK EHS Manager who focuses on strategy while you drive the ground-level work. Expect a varied week: learning walks and visible engagement with shop floor and office teams, spotting trends in EHS data to get ahead of issues before they become incidents, supporting audits, delivering training, and leading investigations when things do go wrong. Core hours run 9:30am to 4:00pm, with an earlier 2:00pm finish on a Friday, within a 37.5 hour week there's some flexibility around start and finish times to suit, based on site five days a week.
This role would suit an EHS professional from a regulated or heavy industry background rail, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, offshore, mining or similar who enjoys working independently and wants a business that will back them with investment, structure and a genuinely supportive EHS Manager. Candidates from an FMCG background with strong compliance experience will also be considered. A quick start is preferred, so candidates able to start at short notice are especially welcome.
