Our client, a forward-thinking organisation in the public services sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic IS Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical information systems projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the delivery of multiple IT and business application projects from inception to completion.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery against agreed targets.
• Coordinate internal resources, project teams, and third-party suppliers to achieve project outcomes.
• Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Manage project governance, reporting, and documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings across departments and disciplines to achieve consensus and drive progress.
• Negotiate and manage change requests, ensuring business needs are balanced against cost, risk, and delivery objectives.
• Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on project status, achievements, risks, and benefits.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and influential project professional with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects and programmes. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Formal Project Management qualification or training (such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PMP, or equivalent).

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of five years' experience delivering IT systems implementations or similar technology projects.
• At least three years' significant project management experience leading complex and/or multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience managing external suppliers and third-party delivery partners.
• Proven success delivering projects to agreed scope, budget, quality, and timescales.

Essential Skills:

• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering capabilities.
• Broad understanding of information systems and software implementation methodologies.
• Excellent project planning, organisation, and resource management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams without direct line management responsibility.
• Professional reporting, governance, and documentation skills.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
• A diplomatic yet authoritative approach when facilitating discussions and driving decisions.
• High levels of attention to detail and a commitment to quality delivery.
