Job Description

We are a specialist engineering company in Daventry who provide high-quality conveyor belts to customers across a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Defence and Motorsport. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a hands-on Mechanical Fitter / Technician to join the workshop team taking on various assembly, build, repair and reconditioning, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK or further

BASIC SALARY: up to £33,000 depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician - engineering, industrial consumables

Every day will be different, but your Mechanical Fitter responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing, building, fitting and repairing products in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites
Carrying out quality control inspections to make sure your work meets the required standards
Reading and working from technical drawings (schematics), client specifications and work instructions
Making sure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Working closely with colleagues across production and technical
Looking after tools and equipment and keeping the workshop clean and organised

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician - engineering, industrial consumables

We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious and takes genuine pride in their work.

You will :
Have experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
Have a practical, proactive approach to problem solving
Be flexible when it comes to working hours
Possess great attention to detail and the ability to read technical drawings
Be competent with bench work and various hand tools
Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Hold good communication and customer service skills
Have a full UK driving licence
