Our client is an independent specialist primary and secondary school supporting children and young people aged 7-16.
Pupils have a range of additional needs, including:
The school supports pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who may have struggled to access mainstream education, lost confidence in their abilities, or found the pace and expectations of mainstream schooling challenging.
Many pupils have experienced barriers to education or periods away from school. The school's approach focuses on building positive relationships, creating a nurturing environment and helping pupils re-engage with learning.
With small class sizes and a specialist, personalised approach, staff are able to focus on individual needs and celebrate progress at every stage.
About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will play an important role in helping pupils develop their literacy, communication, creativity and confidence.
You will plan, deliver and assess high-quality English lessons that are engaging, purposeful and accessible to pupils with a wide range of abilities and additional needs.
You will teach pupils to develop their skills in reading, writing, language, literature and communication, while helping them discover the relevance and enjoyment of English beyond the classroom.
