Audit Senior - Epsom
£50,000-£60,000 + benefits
Hybrid working
I'm working with a growing, forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm that is looking to appoint an Audit Senior into its Epsom office.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading audit assignments, building proper client relationships and being part of a collaborative, people-focused firm with strong regional presence and national backing.
The firm works with a broad SME client base and offers the feel of a close-knit local team, while also providing the structure, resources and career opportunity of a much larger organisation. It is a strong fit for someone who wants variety, progression and the chance to take real ownership of client work.
As Audit Senior, you will take a lead role across audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work closely with clients, junior team members and managers/partners, helping to deliver a high-quality service while developing trusted client relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading audit assignments from planning to completion
Preparing high-quality audit files and supporting documentation
Reviewing accounting data and identifying key issues or recommendations
Ensuring work complies with audit methodology, regulatory standards and risk procedures
Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
Acting as a trusted contact for client queries
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Preparing and reviewing client documents, including accounts, tax, PAYE and VAT-related work where required
Managing deadlines and preparing work for sign-off
Helping improve efficiency through best practice, systems and technology
What They're Looking For
The firm is keen to speak with audit professionals who are confident, organised and client-focused.
You will ideally have:
ACA or ACCA qualification, although part-qualified candidates will also be considered
Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
A dependable, professional and self-motivated approach
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant accountancy/audit software
Why Apply?
This is a strong opportunity to join a growing firm that can offer genuine long-term career development, a supportive team environment and access to a varied client base.
The package includes:
£50,000-£60,000 + benefits
Hybrid working
Company pension scheme
25 days' annual leave + bank holidays
Additional annual leave from certain levels of seniority
Option to buy up to 5 additional days' annual leave
Business closure over Christmas, subject to business needs
Life assurance at 4x annual salary
Enhanced family leave policies
Enhanced company sick pay
Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential support
Corporate discounts platform
Flexible benefits platform, including options such as private medical insurance, critical illness cover, cash plan, cycle to work, eye care and dental cover
This would suit an Audit Semi Senior ready to step up, or an existing Audit Senior looking for a broader platform, better support and a more progressive environment.
