Refuge Worker

Wandsworth Full-Time Ongoing Contract

Caritas Futures is recruiting for a Refuge Worker to join a dedicated domestic abuse service supporting women and children within refuge accommodation in Wandsworth.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about empowering survivors and helping individuals rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse
  • Complete risk and needs assessments
  • Develop and review support and safety plans
  • Support clients with housing, benefits, health, and other key services
  • Work in partnership with social services, police, and other agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and promote positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, families, or individuals with complex needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
