Tetra Tech is looking for a Senior Geo-environmental Consultant to work in Birmingham Shape the ground risk strategy behind complex, high-value projects that influence how places are planned, designed and delivered.
Purpose and Scope of the Role
As a Senior Geo-environmental Consultant, you will play an important role within the Ground Risk and Remediation team, supporting a broad portfolio of medium and large-scale projects across renewable energy, transport, property, residential and water sectors. You will aid delivery of geo-environmental work from desk studies, fieldwork, feasibility studies and risk assessments through to planning, design and construction.
The role combines the requirement for field experience, technical diligence, project management and client engagement. You will manage projects and budgets ranging from a few thousand pounds to several hundred thousand pounds, supporting more senior staff and provide practical, risk-based assessment of contaminated land and controlled waters, remediation and ground investigation. You will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team, with the potential to mentor more junior staff.

Qualifications and Training
You will ideally be chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body, and hold experience in geo-environmental consultancy, with a strong focus on contaminated land, risk assessment and remediation. A relevant degree in a suitable earth, environmental or engineering discipline is expected.
Work Patterns and Locations
This role is based in Birmingham and follows a hybrid working model. Regular office attendance is expected to support collaboration, team development and client engagement, alongside site supervision and external meetings. Flexible working can be considered within the needs of the business and project delivery.
