Job title: Lead Planner
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: Subject to clearance
Salary: 80,000 - 85,000 pa + Car Allowance + Benefits
Location: Southwark, London
Hours of work: 45 Hours Per Week - Onsite 5 days per week

The Role:
Provide support to the project management team through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling and project performance reporting function for client project.

Main Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with
expectations and requirements.
Prepare visual material in support of planned methods and undertake programme risk analysis
Provide a link to communicate planning community information between all parties
Define methods and establish competitive outputs, in consultation with other team members,
including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances
Cooperate with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works
Able to introduce change into a programme and monitor progress within the working programme
Planning of required temporary works design activities together with Temporary Works Manager to ensure design is finished and approved when construction need to start
Provide the project with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items
Advise project team of required feedback reports and support
Early programming to enable proper coordinated interface management
Ensure evaluation of project contract documents in order to build and maintain detailed programmes specifying time and resource requirements
Production of external and internal programmes throughout the duration of client project
Review construction progress with input from the construction team, update programmes and
produce reports as necessary
Highlight areas of concern with regard to construction progress and review mitigation measures with the Technical Manager and Construction Team.
Evaluate scope changes, additional work orders and other elements, including interface and
coordination with Commercial Team with regards to cost and contractual implications

Experience/Qualifications:
All candidates ideally will hold a minimum of HNC in Construction related discipline or extensive experience in civil engineering contracting industry
A clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function
Competent use of industry P6 Primavera software
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft
Project.
Experience in tunnelling and ground engineering works - Desirable
