Class 1 Night Driver
Salary: 19.05 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay
Location: Aston, B6.
Days: Monday to Friday
Standard hours: 15:00-20:00pm starts - Finish
Average hours: 9-10 hours per shift
Weekly pay each Friday.
This is a temporary placement position, offering regular work for the right candidate.
The Vacancy
Our client in Aston, Birmingham are looking to employ Class 1 shifts on a temporary basis, offering regular work Monday-Friday with night shifts available.
As a Class 1 Driver, you are responsible for multi-drop deliveries, consisting of 8-10 drops/collections per evening driving a box vehicle. Handball is not normally required as part of this role, however on occasion you may be required to complete strenuous work such as lifting and bending on a rare occasion.
About You!
- Category C+E Driving Licence is essential with a minimum of 1 years' experience, full CPC training and the candidate must possess and in-date and functional digital tachograph.
- Will have no more than 6 points for minor offences (no IN/DD/DR offences)
- Previous experience as a Class 1 driver is essential.
- A good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.
- Your customer focused experience and expertise will underpin your ability to deliver this role fully.
- Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
- Good physical health is required as this can be a physically demanding role at times.
- Flexible in your approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice.
About the Role!
- Distribution of goods across the United Kingdom.
- Must be confident in completing thorough vehicle checks and must be prompt in completing any required defects paperwork in full.
- Driving company vehicles in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner, including operating within the necessary transport regulations regarding driving hours, in line with company policies and legislation.
- Operating all lifting equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and method statements.
- No requirement to work on the weekend or Bank Holidays, offering a strong work/life balance.
