Manufacturing Team Leader - Production Supervisor

I am hiring now for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Supervisor to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing company that has its people at the heart of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role supervising production teams and ensuring safety, quality, productivity and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

Location - Staffordshire

Shift Pattern

Week 1: Monday-Thursday 05:45-13:45 Friday 05:45-12:45

Week 2: Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00 Friday 13:00-20:00

The Role

As Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Supervisor / Production Team Leader, you will lead and supervise a team of welders, operators and programmers, coordinating daily production activities and ensuring departmental KPIs are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and motivate the production team, managing daily targets, KPIs, quality and productivity.
• Ensure effective shift handovers.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and production efficiency.
• Deliver toolbox talks, daily checks, training and team development.
• Identify production issues, equipment problems and process inefficiencies.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure production scanning, IT systems and records are accurately maintained.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient production environment.

About You

You will have previous experience as a Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Workshop Supervisor within a manufacturing, engineering or heavy industrial environment.

You should have:

• Proven experience leading or supervising a manufacturing/production team.
• Strong technical and hands-on production knowledge.
• Experience in machining, welding, fabrication or engineering manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of quality control, production processes and health & safety.
• Experience using manufacturing IT systems, scanning systems or production software.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work to production deadlines and drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.
